Echoes of Ukraine Choir

A highlight of our MetSO & Friends event, will be the performances of the our friends the Echoes of Ukraine Choir - songs to conjure the beauty, romance and heritage of Ukraine. The choir will both open the day’s proceedings, and will then later join the orchestra back on stage for the finale - singing the beautiful Shchedryk - “Carol of the Bells” and other heart warming Christmas songs. This arrangement of Shchedryk (for choir and orchestra) has been done especially in the Echoes of Ukraine’s requested key for this occasion by our wonderful MetSO Concertmaster / Vice President Ben Clapton - thank you Ben!

Echoes of Ukraine Choir - Perth Australia

Echoes of Ukraine Choir founder Marta Osoba-Buttrose on the origins of the ensemble : Echoes of Ukraine is a young choir borne out of a need to support people who have been displaced by the invasion of Ukraine.
