Sara Duhig

Sara Duhig is an accomplished musician based in Perth. An early career as a professional violinist, coupled with extensive education experience encompassing classroom teaching and ensemble direction, has led to a rapidly developing career as a conductor.

After graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Music Performance on violin from the University of Western Australia, Sara performed regularly with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed in many chamber ensembles throughout Western Australia and was one of the founding musicians in the Perth Symphony Orchestra.

Throughout this time, she has conducted a number of community orchestras in Perth. In 2022, she made her debut with Perth Symphony Orchestra conducting Iain Farrington’s arrangement of Mahler’s Fourth Symphony. She has also recently conducted recordings of Philip Bracanin’s works.
