Ceicilia Limargana

Ceicilia Limargana started to learn piano at age 6 under the tutelage of Yoon Sen Lee. At the age of 8, she completed her Grade 8 piano performance exam of the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB). Ceicilia has performed in Carnegie Hall at the age of 7 and she has won various major prizes both locally and internationally.

In Western Australia, Ceicilia was awarded with various first prizes at Western Australia Pianists Competition, WA Music Teachers Association Awards, Fremantle Eisteddfod, North of Perth Music Festival, Southern Suburban Eisteddfod and Joondalup Eisteddfod where she was also awarded as the top winner to receive The Most Promising Artist Award and Musical Scholarship.

In 2015, Ceicilia received first prize at Grand Prize Virtuoso in Vienna and also in Paris with an Absolute Score. At her performance at Metallener Saal, Musikverein in Vienna, she was also awarded with The Best Beethoven Award.

Since then, she won other prestigious international competitions including:

First Prizes in the Golden Classical Music Awards 2016, USA for Solo Recital and Duet - Junior category,

Second Prize at the International Piano Festival & Competition 2016 at UCSI University in Malaysia,

First prize winner at the Global Outstanding Chinese Artist Association International Piano Competition, she was also awarded the Best Talent and Contract Junior Award and was selected to perform with The Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2017, she received:

Second prize at the Chopin International Competition at Connecticut, USA, and

First prize for both Solo and Duet at the 2017 American Protégé, USA.

In 2018, Ceicilia received:

First Prize at the TIPNOC International Piano Competition at Transylvania, Romania.

Ceicilia enjoys playing the piano and singing both classical and musical theatre. She believes that living through music allows her to express her feeling completely and create a connection with others.


Tyler Yu

Tyler Yu started piano at the age of 4. Tyler has been under the tutelage of Yoon Sen Lee since migrating to Australia at the age of 6.

Tyler enjoys performing in concerts and taking part in piano competitions. He has won various awards at West Australian Pianists Competition, South Suburban Music Society Music Festival and the North of Perth Music Festival. He has also been performing in various local concerts.

Tyler completed the AMEB Grade 8 exam with Honours in 2018.

This is Tyler’s first performance with the MetSO and he certainly looks forward to this wonderful experience.


Hannah Wang

Hannah started piano lessons at three and a half years old, and in January 2014 came under the tutelage of Yoon Sen Lee. Hannah completed her grade 8 AMEB piano performance exam at the age of 7 in 2015 and obtained Honours (A grade). In 2018 she completed her A.Mus.A in piano performance with Distinction and her ATCL in piano performance also with Distinction.

Hannah performs regularly in piano recitals at her college. She has also been playing the violin since age 4, and currently plays in her college’s symphony orchestra. Hannah has been very successful with piano competitions, winning various sections at the South Suburban Music Society Eisteddfod, North of Perth Music Festival, Fremantle eisteddfod and she has won the Overall Best Junior Performer Award at the WA Pianists Competition and Overall Best Junior Pianist in the North of Perth Music Festival.

Due to her success at the WA Pianists Competition, Hannah performed in 2016 at Carnegie Hall (in New York), as a guest artist in conjunction with the Golden Key Music Festival. Hannah won first prize at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music competition and performed in Metallener Saal, Musikverein, Vienna in 2015. She has also participated in masterclasses under Ingrid Fliter and performed at the Summer Festival in Imola, Italy in 2016.

In 2017, Hannah won first prize at the Concours International Piano Competition in Paris and Global Youth Pianists Competition in China.

In 2018, Hannah won second prize at the Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford Connecticut, USA. Hannah has also performed with the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra.
